Hi,

export was done in direct path and version 10.01.0.0
import done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
import done in version 10.1.02.0

what is error ?

this was due to the wrong fromuser=
ok
one more thing is that when i had issued the imp command
c:\imp syste......@xxx file=data142007.dmp fromuser=bill touser=blore
it said this was exported by bsabkp not by u
when i tried with bsabkp it did not import
when called to concerned people they give me different user
fromuser=newbill which was correct

my question now is that why did i get error saying bsabkp user

thanxs

Oracle just informed you that "export was done by bsabkp, not by you". This shouldn't worry you as it is NOT an error message, just an information.

Of course, if you want this import to succeed, FROMUSER must exist in a .DMP file, as well as TOUSER must exist in a target database.
