Hi Taj,
My company is using CA for backups. I dont have idea about CA backup, b'cos i recently joined in this company. Is it possible to use rman commands to recover if the backups done in CA. And also explain me about the CA backup.

Hi Taj,
Thanks for the reply. The database is running on 24X7. There is no downtime available. I will try to get the script of the CA backup. And also i will try to form a strategy for backup.
If you could have any explanation about CA backup kindly let me know.
regards
Magesh

By CA backups, I assume you mean ARCServe ? If you integrate RMAN with ARCServe, RMAN can backup & restore directly from ARCServe.

ONE METHOD IS SIMPLEY IMPORT THE LAST DUMP FILE
|
Importing the last dump file is fine if the OP doesn't mind loosing data.
