Hi All,
Currently we are Using Oracle db version 9.2.0.1 on Solaris (RAM is of 4GB), We are using an SGA size of 2000MB(approx).
Problem is when i checked the memory consumption using
prstat -a , it's displaying that the memory consumption by
oracle user it self is consuming all the memory(100%)
When I checked the process(using PID's) which are consuming the highest memory, i am shocked to find that the each individual oracle Background process( smon, pmon, dbwr, lgwr, ckpt, arch ) is consuming some 2085MB(approx) of memory.
I thought the problem may be due to Oracle Version, and upgraded from 9.2.0.1 to 9.2.0.8, but it's of no use. The same problem is continuing.
I am not able to find the cause for this, please help me in
solving the problem.
Regards,
Anwesh.
