hi everyone,
actually i have observed one thing in "misrosoft vista" that as i start writting in the text box of search ,it starts seraching with the first alphabet.......

suppose i have a text item in oracle forms and as soon as i start writting in that text-item it should start searching from the first alphabet in that text-item same like the thing happen in "LOV" also.......

please do reply as soon as possible...
thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

if possible then please attach creted module as a solution...

"hey buddy" back at you. There is no question mark in your original post. Therefore, by the rules on English grammar, there is no question.

Oracle Forms is a block mode application. It performs a search when you press a button or function key. An LOV is a list of words or numbers, if you want to have the 'list' filtered as you type then you create the list of words, put it into an LOV, set the properties to display the list, start typing and you will see the list shrink.

actually buddy that's the same functionality ,done by LOV,want in a text item also, that's what i want........
