dear brother,
i got a book regarding oracle8 i will send u it's contents soon.can u guide me from which version of oracle or developer i start.i come to know oracle8i is a desupported version is it true. oracle or developer is good career as compared to microsoft in pakistan.

Oracle 10g is the most recent version, and I believe you should pay attention to it. Here is 10g Documentation Page; first check books under the Getting Started section.
For practice, download and install free Oracle 10g Express Edition (click on the top right link in the Featured Downloads section of the Oracle Technology Network). You might also want to install free GUI tool, Oracle SQL Developer (can be found at the same place as the previous product).
