Hi,everybody~~

I generated some backupsets by using RMAN,
and I took the OS command to copy these backupsets to the remote machine over LAN.

After one week,I deleted these backupsets on the local machine, and unfortunately my local database crashed!!

Now~~

can I copy the backupsets on the remote machine to local machine and use them to recover my local database???

can this idea work??
Because I do this by using "catalog start with" to register the copied backupsets and "list backup"~~it show nothing~~

If there's another idea to achieve same purpose, show me please~~

thx a lot for any proposal!!

you need to copy the backupsets to the same location and make RMAN to be aware that those are available again ( in they were EXPIRED).
