I'm running Oracle 8.05 with Windows 2003 Server
From Client i'm running 0racle 9i with Windows XP Profeshional
from command promt of client, i want export database server, but i has som error:
C:\>exp sys/sys@newtnama file=D:\Backup\test.dmp owne
r = test

Export: Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production on Mon Mar 5 11:39:55 2007

Connected to: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0 - Production
With the Partitioning option
JServer Release 8.1.7.0.0 - Production
EXP-00056: ORACLE error 942 encountered
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

Hi,

The version of the Export utility must be equal to the earliest version of the source or target database.

in other words,
Use the lower version to export (from a higher version) and use lower version to import (into higher version).
Or
You may need to install the related views in the target database.
