hi, i attended for oracle financials functional interview for
oracle corporation.
questions asked:
1.how many implementation levels are there in project.
2.how many set of books have u defined.
3.how would u transfer the balances at the end of the year to the next year.
4.how do u carry profit.
5.what are the accounting entries in each stage of P2P cycle and in paybles.
6.what do u mean by balancing segment give example.
7.what is diff between implementation and support.
8.what is the client organisation structure.
could u help me regarding these questions.

1.how many implementation levels are there in project.
--> I am not sure whether the question is related to implementation stages or something else.
Definition, Operation Analysis, Solution Design, Build, Transition and Production - Refer AIM doc for details.
2.how many set of books have u defined.
--> Depends on the business requirement
3.how would u transfer the balances at the end of the year to the next year.
--> You need to run "Close Process" concurrent programs for balance sheet and Income statement.
4.how do u carry profit.
--> When you run 'Income Statement' close process concurrent program, system will automatically transfer the P/L balance to retained earnings account.
5.what are the accounting entries in each stage of P2P cycle and in paybles.
--> Go thro previous posts.
6.what do u mean by balancing segment give example.
--> Go thro previous posts.
7.what is diff between implementation and support.
--> Implementation: The clients business process is studied, mapped to the respective Apps process and some level of customization is made for the gap. Then train the client users and handover the system to them.
--> Support: Support starts after Go-Live. When users come with issues, then support person needs to solve the issues. Basically the job involves the co-ordination with oracle support and the client for solving the issues.
8.what is the client organisation structure.
--> Depends on the Business requirement.

1.can u explain what do u mean by organisation structure with regard to financials implementation for defining chart of accounts.
