Tool other than TOAD [message #219654]

Hi,

I was using TOAD for querying and administering my databases,but now as per the policy here i am forced to unistall it and so i would like to know if there is someother TOOL which has all the same functionality as TOAD.

You may want to consider Oracle SQL Developer. It doesn't possess ALL the features of TOAD, but it is FREE and offers a lot of the functionality TOAD offers.

Hi ,
Thnx for the reply but i can afford to buy also anyways after seeing the functionality i shall suggest the same to my company who will get the license for the same.So that is why i am asking some tool which is as powerful as TOAD

So the company policy is not to use TOAD but "another" tool which has the same features Confused

Is TOAD to expensive since you obviously can pay for "another" product ?

No,
Cost is not a matter we are even trying out DBartisan( i guess) but not impressed.Its just that in the list of softwares that are with us TOAD is prohibited even though we got license(clients rules).

That is why we want another software which has same functionality as TOAD since we are more used to TOAD.
WE shall try the trial version of any software and if impressed then we shall immdly buy the license for it.

So you have any issue with Quest

Anyway

Check this link http://orafaq.com/tools/ (not 100% up to date)
You could also do a lookup on the tools Aquadata and dbvisualizer
