Hi,
I am facing a problem while taking backup. Plz see belove
C:\>exp system/manager@rct file=c:\rct.dmp log=c:\log.log full=yes

Export done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
About to export the entire database ...
. exporting tablespace definitions
. exporting profiles
. exporting user definitions
. exporting roles
. exporting resource costs
. exporting rollback segment definitions
. exporting database links
. exporting sequence numbers
. exporting directory aliases
. exporting context namespaces
. exporting foreign function library names
. exporting PUBLIC type synonyms
. exporting private type synonyms
. exporting object type definitions
after this it just hangs unable to take the backup. But users have connected and working. There is no problem in working for then.
Need a solution soon. Plz help me

Hi,
after this it just hangs unable to take the backup.
If your using exp or imp tools for BACKUP JUST STOP. it is not BACKUP option you must use RMAN OR USER MANAGED BACKUP.
if is just data transfer tool.
But users have connected and working. There is no problem in working for then.
There is no connection between connected user or exp tools you should check ALERT<SID>.log FILE for more information.
