hello friends,


i have a strange problem. a text item is not getting any value assigned to it. i have put messages just after assigning it some value using a local variable . message is displaying null value. i am even not able to assign value for a global variable. but i am able to assign value to a parameter.

i have checked its properties in property palette. in run time also nowhere insert_allowed,update_allowed properties are made fasle.

pls help.

how about the block's property? is it database item?
