Hi All,
I am new to forum.
I am thinking to subclass alert(Oracle Form 6i builder) so that I can add properties such as height, width, posX, posY. Is this possible? or Is there an other way I can do this? I will deeply appreciate sharing your ideas with me. A sample code is always worth of million words.Smile
Thanks in advance.

Apparently It is not possible to subclass alert. Or there is no way to customize it.
Thanks any way,
Regards.

I believe that an alert will always appear in the middle of the screen and be just big enough to display the text requested.

Hi David,
You are right, It is enough to carry out certain functions. In my case I needed a very small one at upper, right corner and I thought It was the easisest way to create a modal Y/N dialog.
I think, I need to study 'subclassing'carefully.
There are a lot of good ideas and hints in the search..
Thanks all,
Regards..

You can always create a new window and canvas in your 'object store' form - give them both unique names and put them into an object group which is then inherited by your other forms.
