Hi champs

my query is regarding forms template.

We are starting migration from Forms 4.5 to Forms10g.
In first step we migrated from forms 4.5 to forms 6i successfully,
but in second step i.e. from forms 6i to forms 10g i'm facing a problem abt template.

In earlier version of forms(i.e. 4.5) we have template is saved in database. But now for migration to forms 10g it doesn't have any facility to save/access this template from database.

Now when i open any forms6i compiled form containing template in forms10g it gives library reference errors, although table containing that template is available is database.

How to overcome this ?

please help me, it's urgent.

Thanks,
Omkar

Go to the properties associated with the Forms 10g start button and change the 'Start in' property to point to the location in which you keep your forms. This would be the directory that you also placed in the FORMS_PATH property. Place the template in that directory and it will be picked up automatically.

hi david
thank you for your reply.
I have already tried what you suggested in your last reply.
when i open any form it can't able to reference the library/template from FORMS_PATH.
for that i have to reattach library to form, this is fine for 10 or 20 forms but our application has near abt 700 forms.

i'm searching for some other way to achieve this.
can you told me where the library paths are get stored in case of database template.

waiting for your reply.

Which part of putting the name of the ONE directory that contains ALL your forms, program libraries, and object libraries, in the 'Start in' was unclear?

As stated previously:
Go to the properties associated with the Forms 10g start button and change the 'Start in' property to point to the location in which you keep your forms.

Okay, make that the Forms BUILDER 10g start button.
