How to run forms on Oracle 9i forms developer.. plzz help [message #212634]

I have just started out on forms developer and I made a form which I am trying to run on my web browser but my browser is not showing the form and restricting the content. Can someone please tell me what to do? thanks

Basically, you need to install the Oracle JDBC Connection to run the Oracle components on the web, see below link where you can install the said software:

well i tried that but i think something is wrong with my internet explorer settings coz its saying that its restricting certain content. thats wat it says on the information bar when i try to run the form and a new window opens. any info on that?

If your browser is MS Internet Explorer, you could try this: go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - (under Security) Allow active content to run in files on My Computer.

[EDIT] Or, is your pop-up blocker enabled?

i have tried to change my internet explorer settings but still the internet explorer is blocking the content and yes the popup blocker is disabled.

Okay, what version of Windos and IE are you using?

Please look at:
XP SP2 problem - set USE_SHARED_SOCKET=TRUE in registry and reboot.

start OC4J Instance which is available from

START - ORACLE FORMS - FORMS DEVELOPER - Start OC4J Instance -

Then run the forms , this will execute in a browser (IE).
