I am able to apply hold on an order or on a particular line using
OE_HOLDS_PUB API. But I am having no idea on how to apply holds on Customers, Items and Sites using same API. If anyone knows how to do it please let me know.

Hi Pavan,
I just want to add points on Varma's Discussion of Holds. I hope you know what is a "Profile Class". Every Customer will be assigned to a Profile Class. There is a Hold for that particular profile class.
There is something called Credit Profile where you can check box but prior to that you go to define Usage Rules & Assign Usage Rules to the Credit Profile. Credit profile types are 2 types they Can be done through Operating Units or through Item category.
In the Credit Type if you assign it for a Particular "Profile Class". The Customer assigned to particular Profile class will be kept on Hold while you Book an Order.
Thanks & Regards,
