Dear Kishor

This topic have discussed already in orafaq forum please search.

and let me know which database you are installing

if you are installing 8 then you should first install database and then install developer 6i.

if you are installing 9i then you should first install report , forms and then install 9i database.

your problem will solve

Insa ALLAH.

Best regards

Kamran

Hi Kamran,

Thanks for ur reply but still i am getting following errors.

Oracle 9i enterprise edition cannot be installed into an existing 7.x or 8.0.x ORACLE_HOME.

Here i successfully installed forms and reports and then i started installing Oracle 9i but at the time of installation i am getting above error.

I have got another error i.e TNS unable to connect to database. Can u tell me why I am getting this error.

Thanks for ur reply.

Use a different 'home'. That's what the installation documentation tells you to do.
