Yes, you can install Oracle E-business suits on Windows XP(with x86 CPU).
However, you can not install Oracle E-business suits for Windows 2003 on Windows XP. You should find installation DVD for Windows XP(x86).

Hi,
I have to apologize for my wrong answer.
Oracle E-Business Suits is for Windows 2003 only. Oracle certify Windows Xp for client only.
It might there is no Oracle E-Business Suits media for Windows XP.
Only way to install Oracle E-Business Suits on you PC is using Linux or Windows 2003 OS.

[B][SIZE=3]Quote: | Hi Panelan,
Your absolutely right we cannot install Oracle Apps 11i in Windows XP it cannot support. Windows 2003 Server edition will support. Windows XP works as a Client if Apps is Installed on server only.
So My problem of Sound Drivers have solved in my PC. I have Installed Dual Operating System Windows 2003 & Win XP. Sound drivers worked in XP where as it won't work for 2003 if Apps is installed.
Small Suggestion I want to give everybody that please don't connect to internet if Apps is installed in Windows 2003. Thatz the reason which made me to do dual operating systems in my PC. Please feel free to give me your thoughts on this..

You can install ebs on xp. I installed it last year and it's still working.
Whether it can be installed on XP is not related to whether Oracle support. If you want to play with it , you don't need Oracle support. No one buy Oracle support for practice purpose.
However, XP installation needs mks tool kit + ms vc + make etc. There are tons of doc online.
But why not try ebs on linux? You can easily get CentOS, RHLS etc. The most important thing is, you don't have to install MSVC and MKS toolkit which is a unix env ported to windows.
I'm using 11.5.10.2 on my linux machine now. quite a good simulation of real production system.

Hi!
Solutionbeacon is asking for some Oracle identification number. If somebody knows about it pls reply if it has become a paysite or some procedures need to be followed to get the oracle identification number.
Also, I want to know if its possible to upgrade 11i 5.3 version to 11.5.9 or 11.5.10.
