Hi Everybody,

We knows that after truncating the partition index becomes invalid, so we need to rebuild the same. Is it true in Oracle 10g Rel 2 also. I'm not sure, can anybody clear this doubt.

This is true Index become unbalanced after all such operation mentioned on this page. Is it true for Oracle 10g Rel2 also. This link does'nt clarifies it.

hi,

Yes you have to rebuild ur index again if any partition of ur table you drop.
