How to get a db report in worddoc format?? [message #207117]

Hi,
we have a oracle 9i db,we have to everyday send the db report.I have tried to create a vb tool to automate the process,but it is not consistent.Is there a way to get the same,or any such tool available. Razz

Do reply,even this query doesnot seen to belong to any thread..

Hi,

You can create database status & database configuration report
from OEM.
Select database- > object -> create report
Select type of report.
It will be in HTML report.
Copy & paste it in Microsoft word.

thanks seema....
The kind of report we send is through querying the tables which has been created to capture the perf data.So as for now we query the tables and ctrl c ctrl v Laughing

it.
I tried a vb tool for the same,i want to know that is it possible thru any other tool.We need a customized report.

You can just generate HTML reports from SQL*Plus
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a90842/ch8.htm#1005596
It is not very flexible, but works.
Beaware that, SQL*Plus is not designed to be a reporting tool.
A proper reporting tool like Oracle Reports will have much flexibility.

yes i tried to generate the output thru this previously....
is thr a tool or freeware available which any of you are using??if yes...please let me know....
