Most of the tools mentioned aren't bad. I normally use TOAD. Just don't choose the tool one of the companies I worked for decided on - Embarcadero RapidSQL. It's awful.

Depends on what the customer uses. Mostly PL/SQL Developer and TOAD.
These don't differ much, just a matter of getting used to..

Mostly TOAD but I've used SQL Navigator and PL/SQL Developer as well.

Looks like I am in the minority, but all I use is vi and sqlplus. On rare occasion, I'll load up the code into ultraedit to work on it.

Generally Toad in comb with sqlplus&vi

But I have discovered another nice tool Aquadata, which is free.
Very nice GUI and you can connect to almost any database platform.
Nice when you are doing migrations.

I mostly use Pl/SQL Developer and Toad. But it depends upon customer requirement.

All I have ever used is SQL*Plus with Notepad.

TOAD is better in a lot of ways, except that I don't like the trimmed characters of the italicized characters for comments or hints.

TOAD is good for VBA developers for Excel applications as well.

SQL Navigator aren't as user friendly as TOAD

I like SQL*Plus and the script Debugger / Procedure editor in TOAD for PL/SQL development
