sqlplus -silent user/pass@db

The problem with the silent parameter, it will suppress more than just the "Connected." value:

E:\>sqlplus -silent system/oracle
select * from dual;

D
-
X

exit

E:\>

Yes. I want to suppress every thing.
I used silent,termout off,echo off,feedback off.

Not getting rid of "connected".

I am using it in batch file as
sqlplus -silent /nolog @abcd.sql

where abcd.sql is
-----------------------------
connect user/pwd@database
set termout off;
update abcd set A=1 where A is null;
commit;
exit;
/
-----------------------------

I am able to suppress every thing except "connected".

I got it .I was using conn first and then set termout off in sql script.

Now I am doing termout off first and then connect in sql script.
It worked.

Thanks.
