hello sir,

i got this error ora-12154 TNS could not able to resolve sevice name in the application.the actual problem is its shows an error in one session at the time we copy the codings and run in the another session with that same machine its work fine and also all user where connected properly.i dont know why this error occur in that particular session(coding in c#.net backend oracle)

As per mention "Mahesh" search on forms or
check tnsnames.ora file service clause is right specified with ur Oracle_sid = name is not then correct and try to connect again.

All the more it should be made easier

I cannot for the life of me think why a tool would be so hard to set up.

TNS Names this, Listener that, SID This, Instance name that, gosh....what about a plain ole connection string or something straight forward.

My 2 cents.
