Due to media failure ur database goes down.
and ur must be valid control file bkp ( if you have) or you need to create New Control file to mount ur database. and open.

missing or corrupted of control file database will not be able to "mount". Control file must be available for mount stage in database.

hope this helps.

May be Yes or No.

if Yes when no change made in ur database.

or No. If changes made in database.

Depand on ur media failure how many control file affected due to media failure if one of more.

You all file must ( controlfile or datafile ) be sync for open ur database.
