Dear Friends,

When i run a query,it returns data and i spool the data in a file,my problem starts now that in a spooled file every record is of constant length in may case it is 80.I want to truncate all the space padded after the last character of each and every lineline. How this can be acheived?

for example

Manish,32,Indore

in the above line though actual data is upto indore but space charaters are padded after indore to make the line size 30 that i don't want, i want to delete all necessary spaces in each and every line.

Thanx in advance.

Manyal

set trimspool on.

This is in the manual and should have been quite easy to find.
It certainly is NOT an expert question; please post in the Newbie forum next time.
