I have to create a control file for oracle server installed on Japanese OS. What Changes do I need to Make in control file to work in this environment.

The issue we are facing are that of Local table name, local column names and multibyte data.

Should we create the control file in unicode encoding. Will this work. What should be the characterset of Control file.

The point over here is how do we localize the Control file creation.

Your questions does not really make sence, unless we assume that You mean database when You say control file.

No You do not....You specify this during creation of the database, and the database then creates the control file(s).

Hope this helps
