Hello,
I have installed an Oracle 9.2.0.7 database on linux red hat ES 64 bit architecture in July. Since then I have many crash (ora-00600 and 7445).
I just want to know why my installation is not stable.
My first idea is than Oracle doesn't run well with the 64-bit architecture.
What do you think about that? Some of you have seen same problems?
Is it the same with 10G database?
thk in advance

I see no valid claims for this.
I am running Oracle on 64 bit (suse/sun/RAC cluster on Sun Cluster).
I have no almost no problems.

These are usually best deal with Oracle support.
Most of ORA-0600 errors are documented with workarounds.

You have not the same architecture. 64-bits runs for a long time in sun system, no in standards linux system.
I'm ok with your comments. I can solve many ora-00600 after they comes, but I prefer to prevent them. I translate this with "we don't want the most speedest database but with the more stable"
