Hi,
I work for a large organisation in the UK that is converting to the Oracle E-Business suite for all non core activities.
Is this the forum to ask really basic questions, such as what is a flexfield and how does it work?, or is there a better place to find answers to such questions?
Thanks
Gully

Gully,
Really basic questions are likely to get the answer:
Please refer to the "Oracle Applications Flexfields Guide". If you don't have a copy of the Oracle Applications Flexfields Guide, it can be downloaded, with all of the other Applications Documentation from http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html
If you don't mind answers like that, then fire away.
You should also apply for a login to MetaLink - see https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/
I don't know how the other forum members feel, but I am more than happy to try to helps somebody who has tried to help themselves, but I am less than enthusiastic when somebody demands help, but appears to have done nothing to try to help themselves first.
Also, a "please" and/or "thank you" goes a long way to evoking a positive response (hint, hint to some of our members). None of the members of the forums are paid for their contributions here. Be nice to us and we will do our best to be nice to you.
HTH
David
