CAN U TELL ME HOW TO USE ISQLPLUS ON STANDALONE PC. I TRIED TYPING HTTP://IP ADDRESS/ISQLPLUS, IT DID NOT WORK....I SAW ONE OF THE FAQ IN WHICH IT IS WRITTEN TYPE HTTP://MACHINE ADDRESS/ISQLPLUS. IS IP ADDRESS AND MACHINE ADDRESS THE SAME, IF NOT WHERE TO FIND THE MACHINE ADDRESS, KINDLY CLARIFY THIS AND ALSO INTIMATE IF THERE IS ANY OTHER WAY TO ACCESS ISQLPLUS. WHILE STARTING HTTP SERVER, IT GIVES AN ERROR AND SAYS WOULD CLOSE.

Please don't use all CAPS when you post in the forum, it makes it hard to read the text.

Since you mentioned, "starting the HTTP server" I'm assuming you are using 9i. You are first going to have to resolve why the apache server won't start. Review the error log in %oracle_home%/Apache/Apache/logs.

In addition to ebrians reply:
If you got Apache to work, use localhost instead of machine-name in your url
