we are upgarding oracle applications from 11.5.9 to 11.5.10
the profile option is enabled when we are in standard responsibility ,when we switch to the custom responsibility, the profile options under(Edit menu -> Preferences ->profile) is being greyed out,does anybody have an idea how to fix this issue.

You are not able to modify the personal profiles because 11.5.10 has
increased security around function.

You have to explicitly grant the ability to change personal profiles in
the menus.

Do the following

Go to system administrator responsibility
Go to the responsibility screen
Query up the responsibility that you are having the issue in
Note down the menu associated with the responsibility

Go to the menu screen and query up the menu
Add the following line to the menu
Prompt = Blank
Submenu = Blank
Function = Profile User Values
Description = Profile User Values

Save and logout and come back in.
It will work.

You will have to do it for each responsibility.
-------
PS: To minimize doing it for each responsibility, you can also add the
above line to a few submenus that are used in multiple places.
