Hi,
Is it OK to clone a database from 8.1.5 into 9.2 ???
The procedure is as normal
setup a controlfile: alter database backup controlfile to trace
shutdown db, copy all datafiles + log files into 9.2
then in a new database (9) run the script
Many thanks

In my Opinion ....first of all you have to upgrade your 8i database to 9i then you must do cloning.
In your case first of all clone your 8i database to another 8i database, & then upgarde this clone 8i to 9i.
If this work try same with your production database... you directly can't take risk to upgrade database or to clone..
cheers
