Dear all,
I have Oracle 9i Enterprise Edition is installed. I have four filetype in linux .
/etc
/dev
/oracle
/root
In the oracle file system the space used is already 98% and When I take database backup it reached to 100% and after that Oracle stops working.
Please suggest me what is the best solution.
Regards,
Ashutosh Trivedi

Some suggestions:
Remove unused files. For example, *.trc, *.aud and *.log files in your admin directory.
Install another hard disk, create an /oraback filesystem and move your backups to the new filesystem.
Etc.
