I am a student. We have a graduation project about traffic analysis. Part of our project is building a server that:
1. receives GPS data either by Bluetooth or wireless device,
2. store these data in a database,
3. and show these data in a map.
I have been searching and I find Oracle Spatial and Oracle MapViewer. I want to know several things:
a. can I build the server like the following schema:
Java application server=>Oracle Spatial=>Oracle MapViewer
Where Java application server will receive GPS data and insert them in Oracle Spatial database through JDBC and then we will show these data on a map.
b. Can we install any map in MapViwer??
Sorry to bother you, but I need help from someone who did use Oracle Spatial and Oracle MapViewer. I don't want to know how exactly these thing are programmed only a general idea will be fine.
