Hello All,
Is there any way to check that Oracle installation was correct before creating any database.
I have installed Oracle 9i R2 on SUSE9. At the end I got a message that Installation was unsuccessfull. There was a problem with HTTP because of .so file and I am not going to use HTTP on this server. But How do I check that other components are installed correctly?
Any input would be appreciated....
Thanks again

Look in the file called called oraInst.loc located in $ORACLE_HOME. This will tell you where the oraInventory is located on your server. Within the oraInventory directory you'll see a logs directory that you should review.
