Hey all,
Oracle 9i allows 10 DBWn processes from 0 to 9. When i issue the command
Select Name from v$bgprocess;
I found 10 processes of the type DBWa, DBWb,....,DBWj.
Can anybody tell me what are these additional processes?
Thanks and Regards

It's just a list of processes hat may or may not be running. Look at the PADDR column to see if they are started. You can also join with V$PROCESS to get additional info.
