Hi,

I tried connecting plsql developer in windows desktop.

I am getting error as

Initialization error
Could not locate OCI dll

OracleHomekey:SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME1
OracleHomeDir:C:\oracle\ora92

May i know why it occurs and how to resolve it.

Please advice.

Did you take a look at the PL/SQL Developer Help??
Search for OCI

Hey!
There are many possible causes for that error...
but 1st just try and make sure that all the oracle services are running..
go to control panel->administrative tools->services->and start all the oracle services INDIVIDUALLY

then try and login again.

frankly, I doubt whether the existence of a dll has anything to do with the database being started or not...
