Hi Guys
Firstly i m not a DBA, i just intsalled the

Oracle Application 11.5.8, Initially everything was

for fine. But few days before i hibernate the system

nd when i resumed my windows XP and tried to connect

to SQLPlus, i m getting the error ora-01092. I haven't

made any changes anywhere. Also i connected with

SQLPlus with /nolog and when i tried to shutdown the

Database i got the msessge ora-12560: TNS:Protocol

Adapter error and i get the same messege if i use

anyother command like " CONNECT apps/apps@prod
Moreover i writing the most recent entries of my

<sid>alrt.log file

First, Ora-600 errors are supposed to be handled by Oracle support.
Second, Oracle-suppor may not even handle this because you are using a very old version of oracle.
Again all block level corruptions are supposed to be dealt with oracle support.

Why would you do that?
Hibernation is something to save resources in a PC. If you are running a database of somewhat worth, always properly shutdown and startup.

I suggest you open a TAR with Oracle support.

Hi Mahesh
Well man have u figured out this is a block corruption issue? since i m getting TNS error as well. Moreover i just want to have some work solution instead of reinstalling the apps again
