Hello,
During installation of Oracle on linux redhat I have the following error:
I/O error in File <Directory where oracle is installed>/oc4j/J2ee/oc4j/application/application/em.
How to overcome this, can I ignore this error and installed the failed aoolication file later ???
Thanks
Hugues

Hi Hugues,
Check the Oracle Documentation again, that specifies the required Linux packages (RPM's) that needs to be installed prior to Oracle Software Installation.
Example:
--------------
[root@ca-iopL03 root]# rpm -q make-3.79.1-17
make-3.79.1-17
If all packages are fine.Go ahead with the installtion and ignore this message. Later, you can configure the EM for your database using these steps.
$ emca -config dbcontrol db
STARTED EMCA at Fri May 27 10:43:22 MEST 2004
Enter the following information about the database
to be configured.
