I am confused about how the Archivelog backup feature of DB Control is functioning.
I created a backup job using DB Control to backup all of the Archived redo logs and delete them immediately after the backup. The first time I ran the job it seemed to work the way I would expect. I back them up from directory A to directory B for example. So after the first backup all archived redo logs were backed up to B then deleted from A. However, on all backups since then, not only are the archived logs from A being backed up, but RMAN is also backing up the logs in directory B (logs that were previously backed up)
Can anyone explain why RMAN is backing up the files in directory B?
