Hello all,
Im newbie to Oracle generally. I tried to install oracle10g on windows2003 server but the setup can't create a new db for me and I noticed that no process at all of Oracle are shown in task manager although the setup is complete and all the parts are installed. Please help me to figure out how to make it work.
thanks in advance

Nothing will show up in task manager unless a database is a) created and b) up and running.
When you say setup is complete, what exactly do you mean? Were there any errors along the way? Did you look at the installation log file in the (typically) c program files oracle inventory (or thereabouts) folder?
Also, did you specify for setup to actually create a database? If not, you may have just installed the software but not actually created a database. To do that, you use database creation assistant.

Me I had a problem because with Oracle 10.2. If you are not in america, for some country like switzerland, there is a problem with a value of a registry key,
Try to look for NLS_LANG key under HKLM\software\oracle\
and replace it by AMERICAN_AMERICA. and let the end of the key like it was.
Me I was not able to create dabase and I fixed it by changing this kew
