problem during installation on Sun Solaris [message #175672]

hello all

i am getting a problem with installation oracle server on Sun Solaris. I have installed Sun Solaris On a Intel based machince. I have Sun solaris 10 for intel media.

Now when i am trying to install oracle and run runInstaller it is giving " can not execute intaller".
I have Oracle 9i for Sun Spark media..........

should i have another media for intel sun solaris or this problem is any thing else.

::: i have set all parameters and created user and gave all privs so nothing wrong with settings. :::::

tell me is it CD's problem or some thing else

As per my knowledge Oracle 9i is not released for Solaris x86 (intel) boxes but Oracle 10g is.

So if you really want to install Oracle on a Solaris x86 then go for 10g.
