We presently have service contracts, but all are setup to be just warranties. We really need them to be extended warranties. Is there a way to change them, or do we have to terminate the present ones and re-create them?

Hi,
i guess the only difference between warranty and extended warrant is
1) warranty is attached with BOm but for extended warranty it comes as a seperate line in sales order.
2)warranty price will always be 0 as the price is included in the item whereas extended warranty will have some rate .
Once the warranty is created you cannot change it to extended warranty with the above two differences.so in my opinion..terminate the contract and create a fresh one.
Please let me know if u have find any other solution for ur problem.
