how to attach a button toTabular form???? [message #173853]

Hello,

i want to make a tabular form contains a lov. There is a button who show that lov.
This button hidden when the form load it's appear only when the cursor stand on that item which invoke the lov, the button appear beside the item directly which the item size decrease and the button appear, and when the cursor leave the item it's disappear again. but the the item in other records still in it's size doesn't change.

I attached a print screen from similar form to show the button.

Can any body tell me how to make it?

hello kokowawa,

kindly try this idea or concept:
a) set the button's "Number of Items Displayed" to 1.
b) set the button's visibility property to "No".
c) at the design time, place the button to where you want it to
appear.
d) at runtime, set the button's x-position same with the
triggering item.(these involves some mathematical function
since you have to multiply the record number with its
height).
e) good luck.

kokowa,

i attached here sample form. hope this help you.
the form uses the DEMO schema and will query the EMP table.
once you navigate the hiredate textitem, a button will appear on the right side. enjoy!
