WE have the report from the auditor to revoke some of the REVOKE [privilege] ON [owner].[object] FROM PUBLIC
such as
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=DUAL) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=SYSTEM_PRIVILEGE_MAP) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=TABLE_PRIVILEGE_MAP) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=STMT_AUDIT_OPTION_MAP) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=STANDARD) (Privilege=EXECUTE)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=DBMS_STANDARD) (Privilege=EXECUTE)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=USER_REGISTRY) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=ALL_REGISTRY_BANNERS) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=V_$BH) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=V_$SESSION_LONGOPS) (Privilege=SELECT)
(Owner=SYS) (Object Name=V_$NLS_PARAMETERS) (Privilege=SELECT)
and many others
I would like to know how safe is it to revoke such privilege from the public role.
Pl. help..
