i would like to know regarding the LARGE_POOL.

I dont have Shared Servers but yet there is a Large Pool configured of around 50MB
will this be a waste (ie. allocated but unused)
or
will Oracle adjust accordingly and give this 50MB to Shared Pool ??

If you are running 10g, set LARGE_POOL=0 and enable SGA_TARGET. This will allow Oracle to automatically size those areas.
