hello
i have oracle 9i on windows xp
on another machine in the workgroup, xp to, i created a shared folder
on the first pc i mapped a network drive called Z: to the shared folder on the other system
when i tried to move the datafile following the regular procedure i got the error that the file 'z:\users.dbf' can not be found
even that i moved the file while the database was down
help plz

afaik, you can not have a datafile, on another computer..it must be residing on the same server, but I am not 100% sure here.
