Please help me out.
Using Oracle 10g. My Database is in NOARCHIVELOG mode. I want to switch it to ARCHIVELOG mode. I did the following steps: -

1. Shutdown Immediate.
2. Startup Mount
At this stage following error is shown: -
Error:-
ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all aprropriate instances are blocking new sessions.

I do not know why this error is ocurring.

Also, tell me the correct syntax of the changes to be made in the Spfile for ARCHIVING. I think this should be done after the above steps. I am new so am unaware as to what will happen if anything goes out of hand.

Also, please suggest any indepth detail books which i can refer.

Thank You,
Jitesh
