hi
i am tring to install oracle 10g database on my pc.
but when i started to install the installation process terminated
abruptly stating that
THE SYSTEM IS NOT AT THE CORRECT SERVICE PACK LEVEL FOR INSTALLING ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS EDITION

MY SYSTEM CONFIGURATION IS 512 MB RAM
OS. - WINDOWS 2000


if some body knows which service pack i need please tell me.

It is referring to the windows 2000 service pack level. Your operating system is not supported. Check oracle xe requirements to see if it supports windows 2000, and if so, then you need to download and upgrade to the appropriate microsoft service pack (SP), probably SP4 or higher.

If oracle xe doesn't support windows 2000 at all, then you need to install it on something it is built for, like winxp pro.

I got the same error message.
Mine is Win XP Home v.2002
256MB RAM
