Hii all

first of all i want to thank everyone replied me before

my problem is

I created a "menu" to use it to transfer from a form screen to form screen in my system
and it works very well
except when exiting from a form it gives me that error

"frm-21011 : pl/sql unhandled exception ora-02291"

when i exit from any form screen i got that error

please help me

ORA-02291:	integrity constraint (string.string) violated - parent key not found
Cause:	A foreign key value has no matching primary key value.
Action:	Delete the foreign key or add a matching primary key.

It seems that you are trying to insert a detail record without a corresponding parent.

thanks for reply

but i just transfer between my screen

and when i transfer using buttons there is no problem
but when i transfer using menu it gives me that error

the error didn't have any impression on my screen except it is shown on front of me but instead of that i can do every thing ordinary in my screen

it only happen when i exit a form after opening it using my menu
and if i opened my screen using button and exit the screen there is no problem

The calls are both EXACTLY the same, both from menu and button?

i am sure of that
but that is happenning

and that explains that there is no problem in my form screen
because they open right by using buttons

n.b : i enter the form from the menu with no problem
but when i exit from the menu that error happens

Please post the code you have in the menu and the code that you have under the button.

There is no problem in entering from button or from the menu

the problem when exit
if i entered from button then exit ====> no problem

if i entered from menu then exit ====> the error is previewed

n.b i return back to my previus screen but the error is shown
