Hi,

I have ORACLE 10G. TOAD 7.1 is properly intalled and open.
when I put SELECT * FROM TAB it give error

* OCI version 10.2.0.1.0 is not supported

pls give good solution.

I'm afraid you need to upgrade your TOAD. A quick google learnt me that it appears to be a common problem with TOAD 7.x. Contact Quest Software to make sure.

BTW: according to Oracle is TAB included for compatibility and Oracle recommends that you don't use it.

If you need to perform basic operations on Oracle database and if you don't want to spend money in upgrading existing software, checkout the new "SQL DEVELOPPER" tool provided by Oracle (it works nearly the same as TOAD or SQL*Navigator) and its free.
It's working on latest database release without problems.
See on OTN.ORACLE.COM to get latest sql developper version (1.0).
