I am doing a disaster recovery test and I only want the absolute neccessary files in ORACLE_HOME. What file/directories do I have to have to use access a database. Currently I am down to:

drwxr-xr-x jdk
drwxr-xr-x assistants

drwxr-xr-x srvm
drwxr-xr-x sqlplus

drwxr-xr-x Apache
drwxr-xr-x javavm
drwxr-xr-x otrace
drwxr-xr-x jar
drwxr-xr-x network
drwxr-x--- OPatch
drwxr-x--- oui

I can understand the thought behind that, but would view it as too risky to implement in production, especially in a disaster recovery situation. In that type of case I would want things to be as exactly close to production as possible, without worrying about anything being different if I could help it.
Plus I wouldn't want to have to keep up and/or guess as to changes made during any patches or new releases by Oracle.
Basically in my view there wouldn't be a space savings that I'd consider to be worth it. Especially with the larger capacity available in portable media.
